- Click New.
- Enter a name and the name and optional description of the parent region.
- Depth: Parent region depth must be Class 1
- Reset Violations: Used to set time of day when any existing region rule violations will be reset by the system.
- Enable Grace: If a card holder violated region rule, this allows system administrator to Grace the holder to remove the violation.
- Note: For Grace feature is only used for hard Passback and/or Tailgate violations (see below).
- Passback Violation: Is used to prevent card holders from sharing credentials to gain access to a region.
- Default Violation: Use the drop-down to select the type of violation.
- None: Turns off the features
- Soft: If a card holder violates the rule, access is granted and a log message is generated.
- Hard: If the time interval has not expired and card holder violates the rule, access is NOT granted and a log message is generated.
- AntiPassback Interval: Sets the enforcement time interval in minutes.
- Note: Enforcement time is only used with hard violation and will never expire if interval is set to 0.
- Tailgate Violation: Is used to prevent a card holder trying to exit a region that they did not properly enter.
- Default Violation: Use the drop-down to select the type of violation.
- None: Turns off the features
- Soft: If a card holder violates the rule, access is granted and a log message is generated.
- Hard: If a card holder violates the rule, access is NOT granted and a log message is generated.
- Occupancy Limit Enforcement: Is used to restrict the number of card holder occupying a region.
- Default Violation: Use the drop-down to select the type of violation.
- None: Turns off the features
- Soft: If a card holder violates the rule, access is granted and a log message is generated.
- Hard: If a card holder violates the rule, access is NOT granted and a log message is generated.
- Click Add to save the new region information.
